Former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle’s departure from the network came following a human resources investigation due to accusations of sexual misconduct and emotional abuse, a new report says.
Guilfoyle announced on Tuesday that she was leaving Fox to become vice chairwoman of the pro-Trump PAC America First Action.
The article goes on to state the following:
“I’ve decided to leave Fox News Channel and dedicate myself full time to joining America First as Vice Chairwoman, campaigning across the country and firmly standing with President Trump,” Guilfoyle tweeted Tuesday.
However, a human resources investigation was launched last year looking into her conduct, the Huffington Post reports.
According to six sources, Guilfoyle showed colleagues lewd photos of male genitalia and disclosed whose genitals they belonged to. She also routinely talked about sexual matters in professional settings and was emotionally abusive to hair and makeup artists, and others.
Guilfoyle was cautioned by HR about her actions on multiple occasions, but Fox News eventually decided to cut ties with her after the human resources investigation.
Although she was informed she must leave by July, she sought to convince allies to urge Rupert Murdoch, executive chairman of Fox News’ parent company 21st Century Fox, to allow her to remain at the network.
Guilfoyle’s lawyer pushed back against the report and claimed the allegations were “unequivocally baseless.”
