The Women’s March on Washington, a prominent anti-Trump organization, is led by six former Clinton campaign operatives, it is being reported.
According to the Women’s March website, the group is planning a nationwide march on Wednesday to support giving legal protection to illegal aliens, as well as demanding an increase in minimum wage.
The Women’s March team has been open about supporting other anti-trump groups, as well, such as Invisible, a well-known organization that has held protests outside of Republican town halls nationwide, recently.
The Daily Caller News Foundation reports that three of the five strategic advisors on the group’s website are former Clinton campaign operative. The six former Clinton staffers who have prominent roles within the group are De’Ara Balenger, Sarah Sophie Flicker, Meredith Shepherd, Hannah Rosenweig, Caitlin Ryan, and Mariam Ehrari.
Balenger previously worked as the Clinton campaign’s director of engagement; Shepherd was a member of the Clinton campaign’s National Finance Committee; Flicker is an activist who “worked extensively with the Clinton campaign,” according to Vogue magazine; Ehrari is a Clinton campaign operative, as stated on her professional LinkedIn profile; Ryan was deputy operations director for the Clinton campaign in Wisconsin; and Rosenweig was Clinton’s personal videographer during her 2008 campaign.
Clinton has been openly supportive of the anti-Trump women’s march group, and recently posted a video message on Twitter urging “resistance.”
