Both former Democratic presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, posted messages praising the thousands of people who marched in several cities across the nation Saturday to protest President Trump’s rejection of their climate change policies.
Since his election, both former candidates have continually encouraged their followers to fight back and resist Trump.
Clinton said she was glad to see people take to the streets. “Great to see ppl take to the streets & combat climate change, protect the next generation and fight for jobs and economic justice,” she wrote.

Sanders went even further, encouraging people to “fight Trump.” “Congratulations to all those participating in the #climatemarch. We will fight Trump who thinks climate change is a ‘hoax,'” he tweeted.
