CNN isn’t done with Trump’s covfefe Twitter blunder as they asked newly crowned National Spelling Bee champion Ananya Vinay to spell the not-a-word in an interview on Friday.
When her spelling instincts kicked in and Vinay asked for a definition, the hosts replied that covfefe means, “a nonsense word made up by the President of the United States in a late-night tweet,” that its language of origin was “gibberish”, and that “it could be a noun, but may be used as a verb and as an insult.”
Vinay came up one letter short spelling C-O-F-E-F-E as opposed to covfefe and the hosts replied that it was, “the only good answer we’ve heard about that word in days.”
