CNN interviews ISIS wives, sympathizers

CNN is likely about to draw more ire for their latest “hard hitting” piece of journalism. On Monday, the controversial news network unveiled their latest interviews with former wives of ISIS militants.

In the piece, CNN attempts to portray a sympathetic view of the wives and their accompanying children. In the interviews, numerous wives claim they were drawn to the caliphate because they were promised a life living under protection with “strong men.”

Pictures and video are included in the piece, and not to undermine the decency of human sympathy, it is apparent many Syrian women and children are living a difficult life considering their situation. However, it was primarily their choice to associate with militants when it was well known that many of them are fighters of ISIS.

CNN’s piece portrays these struggling women and children as rogue citizens with no place for them, and clearly could be considered an implication at President Trump’s recently temporarily installed travel ban.
