CNN picks up fired MSNBC contributor

Not more than 24-hours after Joan Walsh was dumped by MSNBC, she was hired by CNN.

Walsh posted on Twitter Saturday night to thank her supporters and tell them of her next career stop.

She wrote: “I am overwhelmed by the support I’ve received today from all of you. And I’m thrilled to tell you I’ll be heading to @CNN in the new year. Thanks to everyone who made this happen. A Christmas miracle.”

Walsh, who was let go for reasons unknown, was extremely popular among the liberals who watch MSNBC. Her contract being dropped sparked outrage from the MSNBC audience and hosts.

MSNBC’s statement on Friday evening was vague: “Every year we review our paid contributors list across the ideological spectrum. Unfortunately we couldn’t renew Joan, but she and her distinct perspective will still be invited on our shows,” an MSNBC spokesperson told TheWrap via email. “Joan Walsh has been a key voice on MSNBC for years and she’s absolutely still welcome.”

NOTE: DML News posted the story of Walsh on Facebook Saturday two times.  Both times Facebook would not allow the post to be shared.
