CNN’s reaction to special election results is priceless

They spent the past week projecting an easy win for Democrat Jon Ossoff and calling it “a referendum on the President,” but just like that crazy day back in November, the liberal cheerleaders at CNN were thrown into despair when the special election in Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District was called for Republican Karen Handel.

Daily Mail editor David Martosko snapped a screen shot of their crestfallen expressions and posted the pic on his Twitter feed. The image went viral as conservatives seized the opportunity to hammer home the fact that CNN is not biased and does not actually practice journalism.

Martosko wasn’t the only one who snagged a screenshot of CNN’s sadness.

Shown in the photo were CNN’s political director David Chalian, CNN’s chief political analyst Gloria Berger, CNN’s Executive Director of Political Programming/Sr. Political Analyst Mark Preston, and their Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash.

After weeks of being predicted to win by mainstream media outlets, the election quickly went south for Ossoff as soon as the polls closed and it became apparent that Handel was taking the liberal districts.

Handel was declared victorious by the Decision Desk HQ at about 9:56 PM Eastern time, having won 51.9% of the vote to Ossoff’s 48.1%. Polling showed the Democrat enjoying a wide lead in the race just a week before election day.
