A company based in Texas is recalling the coffee they produce after they confirmed it contained a substance similar to Viagra, a drug used for erectile dysfunction.

Bestherbs Coffee LLC voluntarily recalled all of its “New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee” after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration discovered desmethyl carbodenafil in the product. The substance is structurally similar to the active ingredient in Viagra, and also undeclared milk.

To some this was seen as beneficial, for people began purchasing the instant coffee to use as a male enhancement.

But according to the FDA, this can be quite detrimental to the human body. The undeclared ingredient may “interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs” and could possibly “lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.”

The administration warned people who have a milk or dairy allergy to stay away from the product because it does contain milk that was not put on the coffee product’s label.

Bestherbs sold the coffee nationwide from July 2014 through June 2016.

No illness has been reported.
