“The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert attacked President Trump late Tuesday for accrediting himself for the safest year in commercial aviation.

“Trump took credit for no one dying in a plane crash this year,” Colbert said during his broadcast. “That explains his new campaign slogan, ‘Trump 2020: You got to Tulsa, didn’t you?’”

In a tweet earlier Tuesday, Trump took credit for the safest year in commercial air travel after it was confirmed by reports that no commercial passenger jets crashed in 2017.

“Since taking office I have been very strict on Commercial Aviation,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Good news – it was just reported that there were Zero deaths in 2017, the best and safest year on record!”

A spokesperson for Trump said Tuesday that the president “raised the bar” for the United States’ “aviation safety and security.”
