Last week when FBI Director James Comey told a Senate Judiciary Committee that Huma Abedin had forwarded “hundreds of thousands” of Hillary Clinton’s emails to her husband, Anthony Weiner,   Turns out Comey got his numbers wrong.   A new report shows it was just a few emails.

According to “two unnamed sources familiar with the matter,” ProPublica reported that “it was more likely that most of the emails appeared on Weiner’s laptop as a result of backups of Abedin’s Blackberry device. Therefore, reportedly, the FBI said it would correct the record by sending a letter to Congress later this week.

Comey testified that Abedin made a regular practice of forwarding emails to Weiner for him to print out and give to Clinton. But it turned out that the emails obtained by the FBI were mostly duplicates of emails agents had already received during their investigation.
