On Wednesday, Congressman Sean Duffy, sent a letter to the Obama administration expressing his concern over their vetting process of Syrian refugees that are slated for settlement in his congressional district.

Duffy discusses that while he is appreciative of the administration offering “classified briefings to Members of Congress regarding vetting procedures”, he expresses his concern that this effort is not great enough as it still leaves the public in the dark regarding the whole process.

Congressman Sean Duffy (WI)

With increases in Islamic terrorism across the world many citizens have expressed concerns about the country’s vetting processes.

The Obama administration has compressed timeframe off vetting refugees for terrorism, despite hesitation from security officials. Despite these officials requests for vetting timeframes to be up to two years, Obama has reduced the process down to less than three months.
