Congresswoman Runs Informal Twitter Poll About Attending Trump Inauguration


Democratic Congresswoman Karen Bass of California took to Twitter on Tuesday morning to gain insight from her “constituents” about whether or not she should attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Friday.

Following the results, Bass posted on Twitter again, declaring that she will not be attending the inauguration.

In her Twitter poll, Bass informally asks her followers and other users if she should be present at the ceremony. After a 24 hour cycle of voting, 84% of users answered “No.” Only 16% answered “Yes” for her to attend the D.C. event.

Bass has been active on Twitter in regards to her consistently bashing and lambasting the president-elect. Some of her tweets ridicule the legitimacy of his presidency, his goal of repealing ObamaCare, and his relationship with the African American community.
