Kellyanne Conway told Fox News on Monday that reporters covering the West Wing who mock President Donald Trump “ought to think about what they’re really doing.”
Counselor to President Trump, Conway told Fox News’ Sean Hannity in a White House interview that, “If they snark, if they roll their eyes, if their Twitter feed is filled with 92 percent anti-Trump tweets, they’re not being reporters, they’re being opinion columnists. They’re being professional political hacks and pundits, and we have a right to call that out.”
“It would be nice to see people show respect for the office of the President and give him a chance to do what’s right for the American people,” Conway said, of the media who has launched numerous attacks against Trump.
Conway said, “I provided a 17-minute interview for George Stephanopoulos yesterday, but ABC will only show a few clips of it.”
Hannity asked if the media continues to be hostile and fake news reports continue to go out, maybe they don’t deserve access? Conway shot that down, however, saying they should be able to find a way to get along… for the next eight years.
“This White House and the media are going to share joint custody of this nation for eight years, and we ought to be able to figure out how to ‘co-parent’ and mutually co-exist.”
