Senior White House adviser Kellyanne Conway doesn’t believe the Trump Administration and the GOP are implementing budget cuts in their rolling back of the Affordable Care Act, but are merely implementing measures to prevent the government from growing.
In an interview with ABC host George Stephanopoulos, Conway took offense to the using of the term “budget cut.”
“You keep calling them cuts. We don’t see them as cuts,” Conway told Stephanopoulos Sunday morning.
The host fired back, “Again, it was the Republican senators and the experts calling it cuts.”
The Senate version of Obamacare replacement bill calls for a rolling back of Medicaid to pre-Affordable Care Act levels in states that expanded it by 2021. Conway believes the bill has more supporters than detractors.
