In California last night, a police pursuit turned into an early morning shootout when an officer attempted to pull over a white Mazda S.U.V. The driver of the S.U.V. refused to stop, forcing the cop and a civilian passenger in the front seat into an epic car chase.
As the suspect driver’s vehicle began turning a corner in a suburban neighborhood, the accompanying front passenger in the S.U.V. then pointed a gun out of the window and fired around thirteen shots at the officer’s cop car. The gunfire is all caught on camera.
The gunfire itself hit and shattered the officer’s windshield, disabling the car. The involved officer was not injured. However, a civilian ride along who was in the front passenger seat received minor, non-life threatening cuts and scrapes from broken glass.
