A suspect was apprehended by NYPD Thursday morning, for allegedly breaking a deli clerk’s jaw with an avocado.

May 29 was a normal day for the deli clerk working his store near Yankee Stadium at E. 161 St. and Walton Ave., until he mixed up the order of two more than disgruntled customers. The suspects then proceeded to pelt the clerk with avocados, catching him in the jaw with one, before running off and escaping arrest until Thursday.

Charges are currently pending, but respect for avocados is not.
