Police are on the lookout for a couple on the run after assaulting a restaurant owner and her daughter when they served them the wrong meal Thursday.
The couple, Nathan Eric Smith and Latasha M. Smith, were served cold chicken and not enough fries at a Qwik Chick takeout off US 1 in Baxely, Georgia, and decided to let the restaurant owner, Jeanette Norris, know about it.
Norris was apologetic and even refunded their money, but the couple was angry and wouldn’t leave. Norris stepped outside and told them police were on the way, then Latasha rushed at her and began beating her brutally.
When Latasha’s 15-year-old daughter came out to help, Nathaniel socked her too.
“One of my employees yelled ‘He’s got her’ and that’s when I realized he had hit her,” Norris told WTOC. “Who does that? Who punches a child like she’s a grown man standing there? He needs putting in jail.”
