CPAC chairman Matt Schlapp appeared on Fox News last night to address why they disinvited Breitbart’s best-known editor, Milo Yiannopoulos, after a controversial video emerged in which he spoke about pedophilia.
“We saw the videos. … He is trying to mainstream pedophilia,” said Schlapp. The Fox News reporter reminded Schlapp that Milo claims he was taken out of context in the videos.
Schlapp responded, “If he has been taken out of context, he needs to go out and defend his name. It’s not the ACU’s job to do that,” he continued, “CPAC is not the place to do that.”
Schlapp went on to say that CPAC is a place for debate, but not about a topic like pedophilia.
He also confirmed President Trump’s scheduled appearance at CPAC this week.
Last year, the ACU slammed Trump when he canceled his appearance at the event to campaign in the Midwest.
