Dallas Mavericks owner and billionaire Mark Cuban is so scared of a Trump presidency that he said he would rather lose all of his money and all of the Maverick’s fans than have Donald win the White House.
In an interview on NBC Sports Radio’s “The Newy Scruggs Show” Cuban said the following:
“When it’s all said and done, I’d rather lose every penny than have Trump as president, because I care more about the future of my family, my children than I do about my pocketbook. And so if it means we play to empty arenas, I’m down with that.”
“Maybe I pick up some fans. Maybe I lose some fans. I don’t know. I’ve heard it from both. I’ve had people say, ‘There’s no way I can support you. I won’t go to another Mavs game.’ And I’ve had people say, ‘You know what? We’re buying Mavs tickets.’”
Scruggs then went on to say that Cuban told him the Mavericks will no longer be staying in any Trump hotels, even though they did during previous seasons.
These statements are a sharp contrast to a comment Cuban made in the past when he called Trump “probably the best thing to happen to politics in a long, long time.”
