Dallas firefighter shot in ambush, massive search underway for shooter


About 11:30 Monday morning, first responders in Dallas, Texas were called about a possible suicial man, but when they arrived to try to help him, they were met by a man walking with a rifle who started shooting at them.

One fireman was shot, and rushed to the Baylor hospital for surgery.   He is reportedly in critical condition, and police have launched a massive manhunt for the shooter, who was described as a bald, black male, about 200 pounds, who walks with a noticeable limp, according to Fox4 News.

A bystander was also reportedly wounded, and is in stable condition at Baylor Hospital.

The incident occured near the Dallas-Fire Rescue academy.

After a “city-wide” assist call was put out, every available officer in the city have reportedly come to the scene to help in the search for the shooter.
