Dashcam captures police officer dragged by suspect’s vehicle

Alarming dashcam video shows an Ohio police officer being dragged by a vehicle that he pulled over in connection with two thefts.

According to Brooklyn Police Department, 34-year-old Thomas LaForce was a person of interest in two thefts at a Sam’s Club.

In the footage, you can hear LaForce tell the officer, “I don’t steal, sir.”

“You did last week,” the cop replied.

“Not me,” LaForce said.

When the officer told the suspect to get out of the car, LaForce put the car in drive and sped away. The officer was dragged 70-feet, according to Inside Edition, before hitting the pavement and chasing the car on foot.

In the video, you can see there was a short police chase following the incident that ended in LaForce’s car being rammed by another officer’s vehicle. Officials said LaForce and two officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
