On Nov. 21, one of the biggest stars of the 1970s died. “The Partridge Family” actor David Cassidy passed away at the age of 67. According to a new report, the former icon cut his daughter, Katie Cassidy, out of his will, thus, leaving all $150,000 in assets to his son, Beau Devin Cassidy.
The will of Cassidy was revealed in documents obtained by the Blast.
Although Cassidy made amends with his daughter recently, he didn’t change his will to reflect the reconciliation.
“Any references to his ‘child or children’ are only to Beau and not to Katie … It is my specific intent not to provide any benefits hereunder to Katherine Evelyn Cassidy and/or any descendant of Katherine Evelyn Cassidy,” the will reads, according to the Blast.
Beau, 26, is a singer and actor like his dad. His mother is Cassidy’s third wife, Sue Shifrin. The couple was married more than 22 years before separating in 2013. Meanwhile, Katie Cassidy, 31, is also an actress and artist and stems from a relationship Cassidy had with model Sherry Williams. Cassidy admitted he had no role in raising Katie.
Katie Cassidy was near her father’s side when he died. She tweeted that her father’s final words were: “So much wasted time.”
