BREAKING: Actress Debbie Reynolds has died after being rushed to the hospital Wednesday, her son told The Associated Press. Reynolds was 84-years-old.
Debbie Reynolds is the mother of Carrie Fisher, who died on Tuesday. Fisher, who is also an actress and best known for her role in the Star Wars movies, died days after suffering a heart attack on a plane last week. Fisher was 60.
“She’s now with Carrie and we’re all heartbroken,” Reynolds’ son, Todd Fisher, said from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He said the stress of Carrie’s passing “was too much” for his mother to handle.
According to USA TODAY, Reynolds previously suffered a stroke in 2015.
