The defense attorney for the illegal alien accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in Maryland appeared on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Thursday.

The discussion became heated when David Moyse, the attorney for Henry Sanchez-Milian said there “could be a number of questions asked about all three of the people involved in this [case].”

Moyse went on to say that the sex was “consensual” between the young girl and the two high school boys.

Carlson seemed to be taken aback by Moyse’s statement, asking him if he was prepared to say with certainty that the young girl was lying.

“Man, you’d better be right about this if you’re good to be impugning the character of a 14-year-old girl who says she was raped,” Carlson responded. “Other people said they heard her screams. To impugn her character, you really … before God, better be sure that you are on the right side of this.”

“I think what occurs to me is that we have a system here,” Moyse responded. “When people are accused, we go through the system.”

“My only point to you,” Carlson continued, “[is] have you thought through the moral consequences? I know you play a role and I’m glad defense lawyers exist. But, before you say something like that, do you think, ‘Man, I’m kind of putting my soul on the line a little bit?’”

The entire discussion took place after two high school boys were accused of raping a 14-year-old girl at a Maryland high school. One of the suspects, 18-year-old Henry Sanchez-Milian, is an illegal alien, which is a factor in the case that has stirred up controversy nationwide.

Moyse told Carlson he is not defending Sanchez-Milian’s immigration status, saying he is “not paid” to do that type of case.

According to court documents, blood and DNA were found in the boy’s bathroom where the girl alleges she was raped by the two boys.
