Delta is the latest airline to have a staff member depicted in a personal video of a violent incident involving passengers. This time, the pilot was involved in the incident which took place just outside the aircraft, as people were deplaning.

Delta Airlines is defending the actions of their pilot after he was caught on video trying to break up a brawl between two women on the jetway floor on Saturday.

The plane had just landed on April 21 at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia when a passenger filmed a 27-second video that begins with the women fighting and includes headbutting and wrestling on the floor.

As they came near the airplane’s cockpit, the pilot can be seen grabbing one of them by the arm and hitting her before walking away.

A man can also be heard yelling, “Knock it off.”

According to TMZ, a Delta employee immediately gave the video to a supervisor.

The pilot was reportedly suspended last week after the airline learned of the incident and “has since been returned to work as our investigation found that his actions deescalated an altercation between passengers on the jetway floor during deplaning,” according to a Delta spokesperson.

Police arrived on the scene, but both woman decided not to press charges.
