Muslim activist, Women’s March leader, and Sharia law advocate Linda Sarsour is now being called out by a Democratic lawmaker, who says there’s “something fishy” about her story claiming to raise money for a Jewish cemetery.

A Jewish media outlet, The Yeshiva World, reported Monday that Sarsour had gained national attention after claiming that she had raised a huge amount of money for Jewish cemeteries, but one of the cemeteries says it has never seen a dime of it.

In response, Sarsour tweeted out a story from Jennifer Goodland, reportedly of Golden Hill Cemetery in Colorado. The trouble is, Goodland is not affiliated with Golden Hill Cemetery.

When two of New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind’s (D-Brooklyn) staff members reached out to Neal Price of Golden Hill Cemetery, he said Goodland has never been an employee there, and that he only spoke to her once when she called offering to help.

Hikind’s office then reached out to Goodland on Facebook, saying,  “I spoke to Neal Price myself. He barely knew who you were and didn’t understand where you came from…Neal did have serious questions about your involvement and about receiving the money. Bottom line is I care that the money goes to the cemetery. Is that happening?”

Goodland reportedly responded, “Ask Neal. I never see any of it because this (was) my mitzvah.” She went on to admit, “I am neither with Celebrate Mercy nor with the Golden Hill checking account and thus perhaps you should go call your best bud Neal, ask him because he knows, and you two can have a little congratulatory session about acting this way toward a woman who was doing all of this as an act of CHARITY…I’m not your punching bag any more or Neal’s. You guys figure out who’s lying because now it’s all the cemetery has. Congrats.”

The Yeshiva World quoted Hikind as saying, “Ms. Sarsour just might possibly be a liar who got caught. As I’ve said before, Sarsour is a fraud in every other capacity. One minute, she claims to be an advocate of non-violence, the next, she’s glorifying terrorists. Is anyone really surprised by this latest episode? I’m sure now that she’s been exposed, Sarsour will make certain that dead Jews somewhere benefit from the missing money. After all, she’s never had an issue with dead Jews.”

This isn’t the first time Hikind has spoken out against Sarsour. In April, he voiced his objection to her being booked as a commencement speaker at the City University of New York Graduate School of Public Health, stating, “She is someone who associates with radical Islamists, supports them, shows support for them. She is someone who has said, clearly, she thinks throwing rocks at cars in Israel is a good thing. I mean, it’s just nuts. It makes no sense. It’s crazy to have this woman be the person who’s going to speak to the students.”

On June 27, Hikind posted a photo on Twitter of Muslims, including Sarsour, who are active in the Democratic Party, and asked the question, “Jews and the Democratic Party: Is there a Future?”
