In a surprisingly undignified move, outgoing California Democratic Party chairman John Burton held up his two middle fingers while leading a crowd of supporters in a “f*ck Trump” chant at the 2017 California Democratic convention over the weekend.

Video’s and pictures taken at the event show Burton with his two middle fingers extended while the crowd cheers for him, enthusiastically mimicking the profane gesture.

One reporter, Carla Marinucci, Tweeted a video from behind the crowd showing many in attendance with their middle fingers raised.

Other tweets confirm the reports.

At one point during the convention, Burton was caught on camera telling health care protesters to “shut the f**k up and go outside.”

Burton, who is reportedly known for his “blunt and profane manner,” has been at the helm of the California Democratic Party since 2009. Apparently Democratic House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (CA) finds Burton’s behavior humorous, as evidenced by pictures of her laughing behind Burton as he gives his two fingered salute to the President of the United States.
