Democrat leading Russian probe issues warning to Trump staff

House Intelligence Committee ranking member Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) told ABC News on Sunday that “anyone within the Trump orbit is at risk of being used.” A leader in the Russian investigation, Schiff’s comments came amid new reports that Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner might have been secretly talking to Russian officials.

National security advisor General H.R. McMaster said he was “not concerned” about the reports that Kushner allegedly tried to establish back-channel communications with the Kremlin.  According to McMaster, Kushner’s actions were normal protocol.  In response to McMaster’s comment, Schiff told ABC News, “I was disappointed to see the General say that.”

Despite no evidence whatsoever, Schiff continues to seek confirmation of the narrative that Russia “meddled” in the presidential election, saying that he now wants Kushner to appear before the House Intelligence Committee.
