A man on a Queens subway train woke up from a nap and violently attacked a stranger by punching and stabbing him multiple times with a pen, cops said Saturday.
Christ Bently awoke on a Manhattan-bound A train approaching the Howard Beach/JFK Airport stop around 10:30 p.m. Friday.
He went up to a 36-year-old man sitting nearby and punched him repeatedly in the face before drawing a pen and stabbing him once in the cheek and several times in the left arm, police reports state.
First respondents took the victim to Jamaica Hospital where he was treated for cuts to his left eyelid and puncture wounds on his cheek and arm, authorities said.
Bently was taken into custody at the Howard Beach/JFK Airport station. He has been charged with assault, resisting arrest, menacing, and weapons possession.
He was reportedly sent to Jamaica Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
