One of the executives at NewsmaxTV called me as I was walking out the door last week on Friday. He asked, “I know you’re on vacation next week, but filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza is in town on Wednesday — would you like to interview him about his new movie called ‘Hillary’s America’?”
It takes me 3-hours to get to the NewsmaxTV studios in NYC. Did I want to spend 6-hours in the car and kill an entire day to help promote another filmmaker’s film? No. I did not. But I accepted the opportunity because of one reason, and one reason only.
I’ve been working frantically to finish my film about Donald Trump. It’s called, ‘Fighting For Trump’ and it should be ready for distribution in late August.
The film answers the question, “What will America look like if Trump wins the election?” This is the same sort of question Dinesh asked in 2012 when he produced, ‘2016: Obama’s America.’
I recently watched ‘2016: Obama’s America’ to get ideas for my film. It’s the second time I’ve seen the flick.
The first time was four years ago. At that time, Dinesh’s film was nothing more than a prediction. Today, the movie plays out like an encyclopedia page that documents the past four years. Dinesh’s predictions all came true — we are living the nightmare he warned us of.
Had I not watched the film a few weeks ago, I would’ve politely declined the interview with Dinesh and remained on the beach with my family. But this election is too important. I had to do my part in getting the word out. Because if Dinesh is correct for a second time, and if we ignore the warning for a second time, then we are in for a world of trouble if Hillary is elected.
‘Hillary’s America’, is in theaters now. My interview with Dinesh will play a week from this Friday. But there is outrage that I must share today…
During a commercial break, I asked Dinesh if he’s received support from the RNC in getting the film out to the masses. He said, “The RNC will not help me. They said people don’t watch movies. They said to put my 90-minute film into a 90-second message because that’s what people want.”
I couldn’t believe my ears — I was so angry. What a lame excuse.
NewsmaxTV and Fox News are the only TV networks giving Dinesh air-time. It’s not enough!
Together, NewsmaxTV and Fox News reach a fraction of the audience reached by the mainstream media. ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and MSNBC reach 30-million more people than we do each night. And so Americans won’t have the opportunity to hear the truth about Hillary.
Megyn Kelly interviewed Dinesh on Friday night of last week. But he had to share the segment with a Democrat who rambled on and wasted most of the time. Then Dinesh appeared for five-minutes on a 3-person panel during a Hannity episode on Tuesday. Again, the movie was overshadowed. Thankfully, Fox & Friends gave him a lot of time when the film first premiered.
Aside from the three FOX NEWS appearances, Dinesh’s only stand-alone TV appearance to discuss the film is the one-hour special I gave him today.
Hillary’s America brought in nearly $4M at the box office over the weekend, which is good, but it’s not enough.
The RNC will not help promote a film about what the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton have in store for America? This leaves me to believe the RNC cares less about a Hillary victory — they care more about a Trump loss.
