On Valentine’s Day, a cartoon rendered of Russian President Vladimir Putin embracing a pregnant President Trump appeared highlighted on a New York City building. The cartoon’s caption read: “Love through hate.”
Last year, a similar work of art appeared in the country of Lithuania. The mural portrayed Putin kissing Trump, as a sign of the presidents’ cozy relationship.
Suspicions of a relationship between Trump and Putin fully escalated late Monday when National Security Adviser Mike Flynn resigned from his post. Allegations surfaced of the retired general misleading the administration about his conversations with a Russian ambassador regarding former President Obama’s imposed sanctions. This occurred in December, before Trump’s inauguration.
