I live far enough away from my grandmother that a few years have passed since I last seen her. Earlier in the week I had the pleasure to see her at my mother’s house.
My grandma is 94-years old. And as she’ll tell you within the first few minutes after saying hello, she has all her hair and teeth, and according to her it’s because she never drank booze or smoked cigarettes.
Unfortunately, she is losing some of her memory. Not all of it — but some of it.
She often repeats herself. For example, she told me no less than 20 times in the hour we sat together that she loves seeing me on TV every night. Problem is I am not on TV every night — I haven’t been for a year — but to her it’s yesterday when she saw me on TV.
During my visit we briefly discussed politics. She loves Trump and hates Hillary. She kept telling me over and over. “I love Trump. I like him.” A few minutes would pass and she’d forget what she said, so, she would tell me again. “I love Trump, he’s good. I can’t stand that other one (Hillary).”
As shown in the picture above, we were imagining what America would be like had Hillary won the election. You can tell by her face it would have been bad.
The video below is great. In it I ask her about Trump and Hillary; her answers are classic. Give it a view. SIDE NOTE: In the video she refers to a “tough broad.” She is referring to my mother who is off camera.
