1. James Clyburn Slams Trump, Says He Scrapped National Plan Because COVID-19 Was Spreading In Blue States – Trump slams him back in fiery tweets!
The Daily Caller reports: Democratic South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn claimed Friday that President Donald Trump had scrapped a national plan for coronavirus because the spread was largely impacting blue states.

Clyburn opened Friday’s hearing — calling for a national plan to combat the continued spread of coronavirus —by attacking the Trump administration, accusing the president’s team of ignoring warnings and suggesting that Trump had chosen not to implement a national plan for political reasons.

“To improve our response, we need to identify and correct past failures, especially those that are ongoing,” Clyburn continued, claiming that the continued problems were the result of the Trump administration’s failure to implement a national strategy and heed warnings from experts.

Clyburn also asked Fauci why Europe was able to contain the virus and the U.S. was not.

President Trump responded to Clyburn’s claims, blasting out the following statement on Twitter:

Somebody please tell Congressman Clyburn, who doesn’t have a clue, that the chart he put up indicating more CASES for the U.S. than Europe, is because we do MUCH MORE testing than any other country in the World. If we had no testing, or bad testing, we would show very few CASES..

…..Our massive testing capability, rather than being praised, is used by the Lamestream Media and their partner, the Do Nothing Radical Left Democrats, as a point of scorn. This testing, and what we have so quickly done, is used as a Fake News weapon. Sad!

2. Dems blame Trump over COVID – here’s why they’ve got it wrong
In an exclusive news broadcast to TeamDML.com subscribers on Thursday, retired INS agent, immigration expert and TeamDML contributor Michael Cutler said the American economy is convulsing, and the Democrats are trying to blame President Trump, but “Trump didn’t do it.”  WATCH:

3. Obama bashes Trump, encourages protesters
Former president Barack Obama delivered a 40-minute eulogy at the funeral of the late Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) in Atlanta on Thursday, using his time to encourage protesters to keep marching. He called for every American to “automatically” be registered to vote… including former inmates. Obama claimed “those in power” are “doing their darnedest to discourage people from voting by “targeting minorities and students with restrictive voter ID laws.”

Obama slammed “police who kneel on the necks of Black Americans,” and “our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators.”

“As long as young people are protesting in the streets, hoping real change takes hold, I’m hopeful, but we can’t casually abandon them at the ballot box — not when few elections have been as urgent on so many levels as this one,” Obama declared.

4. Jim Jordan presses Fauci on protests, COVID-19
The Hill reports: Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) pressed Anthony Fauci with a series of combative questions on Friday, asking him whether the government should limit protests to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Jordan, a close ally of President Trump and member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, drilled down on Fauci at a House hearing, echoing an argument often made by conservatives that there is a double standard when liberals and some public health experts support widespread Black Lives Matter protests, which bring together thousands of people, but push for restrictions on other gatherings like those at churches.

Fauci did not address the protests directly, but said more broadly: “Avoid crowds of any type no matter where you are…I don’t judge one crowd versus another crowd.”

5. House Foreign Affairs chairman subpoenas Secretary of State Pompeo
CNN reports: The chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee subpoenaed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Friday to turn over documents related to the Bidens and Ukrainian energy company Burisma.

The subpoena issued by Rep. Eliot Engel demands the top US diplomat provide “all records purportedly dealing with the Bidens and Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings the department has produced to Republican-led Senate committees” as well as “internal State Department correspondence about responding to Congress.”

The subpoena requires documents be turned over by August 7.
