Hello, DML 2 things…
1. I heard the President say that for families the first 24,000 would not be taxed, is this true or did I misunderstand?
2. Love the new studio, but the lightening behind you is distracting and too bright. Keep up the great work. Lydia
DML: Hello Lydia, 2 answers…
1. Yes, that is what he told Hannity.
2. It only looks like that now because I am using a cell phone. Once we go to LIVE cameras, which I hope will be soon, that “bright” light will no longer be “distracting.” 🙂
I read the story and took the poll about people willing to ride in a pilotless aircraft. I would. People fear it because they don’t understand the technology. From 2007-2010 I was stationed at the US Embassy in Prague as a military liaison to DoD science labs and other government agencies scientific offices. This tech was developed between the Navy Air force and Czech Technical University in Prague. The tech started as US Russia cooperation in the early to mid 1990s but when there was no reciprocal behavior and new NATO nations were added, the Air Force rep back then established cooperation with the Czech Republic at CVUT. The world expert on this is a guy I know well and worked named Michal Pechoucek from the CVUT. If you want to talk to him I can arrange it for a news story. Anyway what readers need to know is that the tech using artificial learning algorithms that allow aircraft to negotiate with each other and the tower autonomously. It thinks and reasons like a human pilot and air traffic controlled but much faster than the human mind can process. Is a great technology for collision avoidance. I trust it because it’s better than the human mind. No judgement errors or fatigue. The FAA is testing it as part of the NexGen program.
DML: Thanks for the insight, Matt. But personally, I prefer a human.
I read your story about Bannon’s comments regarding the president having a 30% chance of finishing out his term, why would he say something so dumb!
DML: Look, in today’s day and age it’s hard to determine fake from real news. I would like to see Bannon come out and either deny the statement or confirm it. If he denies it, then case closed, it’s BS. If he confirms it, or if he says nothing, then that’s how he feels. If he did say it, I’m thinking there could be a mini-war brewing between Bannon and Trump. If so, Trump will win. He doesn’t need Bannon and Breitbart, as much as Breitbart and Bannon need him. Trust me on that one. That said, I hope there’s no war.
