Today is July 20, and here are the stories I am watching.
1.Angel Mom is suspended from Twitter over illegal immigration posts.
Mary Ann Mendoza, who heads the Angel Families organization, has been suspended from Twitter after posting about illegal immigration and raising awareness about the harms of sanctuary city policies. Angel Mom Mendoza’s son, 32-year-old police officer Brandon Mendoza, was killed in May 2014 by a drunk illegal alien who was driving the wrong way down a highway in Mesa, Arizona.
DML: This is an outrage, and like the “hate speech” violation I received from Facebook for simply discussing the topic of illegal immigration Monday, this is why I am urging everyone to come over to TeamDML.com and our new $1 trial.
2. CRUZ says Trump could lose 2020, Biden wont be nominee.
During an interview aired on Friday’s broadcast of PBS’ “Firing Line,” Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) stated that Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) are the most likely to win the Democratic presidential nomination, and that the general election is “a coin flip.
DML: Cruz said the left is angry and so they will show up to vote, and this is true. But it won’t be for any of the candidates he mentioned. I still have my money on Mark Cuban emerging.
3. Iran takes over British ship.
A powerful council in Iran said Saturday the country’s seizure of a British oil tanker in the strategic Strait of Hormuz was in response to Britain’s role in impounding an Iranian supertanker two weeks earlier.
DML: We are inching towards War World III.
4. Trump flip flops on Send Her Back
President Donald Trump on Friday reversed his previous criticisms of a North Carolina campaign crowd that chanted “send her back” about Somali-born congresswoman, Ilhan Omar. Trump defended the rally-goers as “patriots” while again questioning the loyalty of four Democratic lawmakers known as ‘the squad.” His comments marked a return to a pattern that has become familiar during controversies of his own making: Ignite a firestorm, backtrack from it, but then double down on his original, inflammatory position. When reporters at the White House asked if he was unhappy with the Wednesday night crowd, Trump responded: “Those are incredible people. They are incredible patriots. But I’m unhappy when a congresswoman goes and says, ‘I’m going to be the president’s nightmare.’”
DML: If you have ever doubted my influence on this White House, you are wrong. It’s not be coincidence how the music changes after criticism is made, or suggestions like tariffs are called for by yours truly. In the same way Trump copied my every word from my time on the campaign trail and Fox News, he’s reading the tweets I send. I’m happy to see the flip flop on his part.
Trump on crowd chanting Send Her Back…”quite a chant. I felt a little bit badly about it, but I’ll say this: I did start speaking very quickly. … I wasn’t happy with it. I disagree with it, but, again, I didn’t say that; they did.” Way to toss your base under the bus big guy.
