DML Daily Letter to the President (18)

Dear President Trump:
Before we tackle the elephant in the room, allow me to say I fully support the comments you made today about the terror attack in Iran.

After offering your thoughts and prayers to the victims, you made the following statement: “States that sponsor terrorism risk falling victim to the evil they promote.”  In other words, what you’re telling countries like Iran, is: “if you play with fire, you’re bound to be burned.”

Sadly, the media criticized your comment. They did so knowing your words are filled with common sense, but because your statement ties to Islam, well, then, political correctness must prevail, and therefore you are marked as an insensitive hater.  I ask you to ignore these fools.

Now, let’s address the big topic: James Comey.

The entire world read his opening statement earlier today, and that’s why it’s the headline topic on every cable news program this evening. Tomorrow it will only get worse when he actually testifies. Even the DC area taverns are monetizing Comey’s appearance on Capital Hill. Bars are offering free drinks every time you tweet during Comey’s testimony.

Mr. President, if for no other reason than to keep people from drinking and driving, I urge you to play golf tomorrow at a golf course with crappy cell phone service. LOL. Seriously, please refrain from tweeting tomorrow! Please don’t tweet a single thing about Comey, Russia, fake news, Michael Flynn, Obama, Hillary, Putin, hacking, or the 2016 election.

Tomorrow will be far less painful, and his testimony will have very little staying power, if you ignore the event altogether. If I were you, I’d pay a surprise visit down to the border wall in Arizona and meet with the ranchers. Hit golf balls over the fence into Mexico.  That will take the cameras off Comey for sure.

Please, take my advice.

Until tomorrow, may God bless you, our troops, the American people, and these United States.
