DML Daily Letter to the President (24)

Dear Mr. President:
Most of my letters to you offer encouragement and praise.  Some offer suggestions and ideas. A few offer constructive criticism. Today’s letter is unique in the sense it doesn’t come from me.

I receive thousands of comments and emails each day through social media and the DML website. Sometimes, I come across one that truly grabs my attention. Case in point, this morning I received an email from a man who shares the same first name as yours truly.

Dennis Nagan sent his email to me, and to Sean Hannity, hoping  we’d pass it along to you. Mr. Nagan is a big supporter of yours, as seen in the photo attached. His letter is below:

President Trump,
I’ve been a supporter of yours as soon as you decided to run for president. I was thrilled when you won!   When it comes to jobs and trade you’re proving to be very successful. However, I am very disappointed in a few areas I’d love for you to explain why you’re NOT being as successful. They are:

1) Why haven’t you already fired every one of Obama’s appointees in your administration? This is NOT a tough task. Something I’m sure you’ve done hundreds of times when taking over businesses.
2) Why haven’t you found and prosecuted every leaker in your administration?
3) Why haven’t you drafted an executive order that any person committing an act of terror be declared an enemy combatant so the military can try them? Get them out of our court systems?
4) Why haven’t you been able to work the art of the deal with some Democrats and news organizations to end the negative rhetoric?
5) Why aren’t you just ignoring the negative lies? You well know that defending lies or letting them aggravate you just gives the liars exactly what they want? Which is to distract you.
6) You repeatedly said Obama was the great divider, which he was. Why aren’t you trying to be the great uniter with the Democrats as you’ve done with other countries leaders?
7) Why haven’t you enlisted me to help you with all the above?

Dennis R. Nagan

“The purpose of life is to matter. To count. To stand for something.
To make some difference that you were here at all”
—End of letter —Mr. President, with all due respect, I add to Mr. Nagan’s the list the following:
(A) Why haven’t you terminated Obama’s executive order granting amnesty (DACA)?
(B) Why haven’t you made moves to make e-verify mandatory?

Until tomorrow, may God bless you, our troops, the American people, and these United States.

With admiration,
