Dear Mr. President,
“We are 5 days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” That’s what Barack Obama said years ago when he was running for president.
I don’t think any of us realized how serious he was at the time. I don’t think we understood what the heck he was talking about. Why would anyone want to transform the greatest country on earth?
Many people believe Obama is the worst president in history. I am one of those people. However, the guy kept his promise — he pulled off a major transformation. Today, because of Barack Obama, America is upside down.
For example, look at how police are treated.
Prior to Obama taking office, police officers were treated with respect. Ten years ago, kids would never dream of disrespecting a cop. But now, after 8-years of Obama, police are spit on, ridiculed, and treated like the enemy.
Obama encouraged groups like Black Lives Matter to lash out at cops. When it came to events like Ferguson, Obama and his race-baiting administration poured gasoline on the fires; they created the ‘war on cops.’
I will never forget how upset I was when President Obama rejected requests to light the White House blue in honor of fallen police officers. You, on the other hand, did the complete opposite.
This week, you showed our police the sort of respect they deserve. You, as president, set an example for people to follow, especially our children. I was beyond happy when you lit the White House blue this week. I was even happier when you proclaimed 5/14/2017 through 5/20/2017 “Police Week.”
In order for police to succeed and stay safe, Americans need to see the President of the United States embrace the men and women in blue. The American people need to hear the president speak about how the police put their lives on the line for us each day. Obama never did these things.
To make America great again, we must move forward with a tireless determination to fundamentally undo what Obama did. You, Sir, took a major step in that direction this week by boosting the morale in police departments throughout America.
On behalf of my family, which is filled with cops, I thank you for your leadership in this area.
Until tomorrow may God bless you, our troops, the American people, and these United States.
