When filmmaker Michael Moore saw press secretary Sean Spicer call a press conference on Saturday to discuss the media’s unfair reporting of crowd size at the inauguration, the liberal filmmaker must have laughed to himself.
Just 24-hours earlier, Moore was calling on anti-Trump protesters and members of the media to attack Trump by making him feel unloved. Moore said Trump’s need to be liked is his weak spot. DML caught it all on video (see below).
It’s being reported today by the Daily Caller and the NY TIMES that after media outlets said Trump’s big day drew a low turnout and published photos comparing his small inauguration crowd to the massive ocean of people attending Obama’s in 2009, senior aides to President Trump advised him to ignore the bias coverage and focus on his governing policies.
But President Trump was outraged by the reports and rejected his staff’s warning. Thus, he sent White House press secretary Sean Spicer to the briefing room to scold the press on Saturday. Spicer put out claims that Trump’s inauguration was the biggest in history — a figure that cannot be proven — and he provided incorrect stats concerning the number of metro riders for the day.
Spicer’s appearance and the information he provided only further fueled the mainstream media who spent all Sunday trying to make Spicer and Trump look petty.
During his Walk & Talk on Sunday afternoon, Dennis Michael Lynch told his audience “there is no way Kellyanne Conway would have supported a press conference of that nature. I’m sure she would say forget about it — you’re the president — don’t buy into their petty tricks. Lets move on.” Turns out DML was correct, and unfortunately so was Michael Moore.
DML recognized that Trump is a good man with a big heart, but he urged the president not to allow his feelings to be hurt by the evil Left who will do anything to spoil Trump’s plan to make America great again.
DML believes the media will purposely continue to misreport on issues they believe will rattle the president. DML says President Trump should call out the media when they report incorrectly, but he cannot give off signs of being overly emotional — he has to keep his emotions at bay. Easier said then done, but DML believes Trump will prevail.
Here is the video of Moore.
