As mentioned today on my Walk & Talk, I wanted to show you some of what we’ve been buying and installing in the new studio. Below is a list of equipment and furniture that has either arrived or is on its way.
– Production Equipment.
The photo shows just a small sample of the lighting we’ve purchased. We now have studio lights, colored lights, and strobes.
We now have JVC hi-def internet broadcast cameras that allow us to stream live to our website, YouTube, the DML App, and Facebook at the same time.
Sony Video Mixer
The mixer is one of the most expensive purchases we’ve made. It allows us to put together a broadcast quality program that mixes video clips, Skype interviews and music with our in-studio programming. The mixer is portable, so we can take it on the road.
Latest & Greatest Apple Editing Equipment
With new editing tools in house, we can now work faster, smarter, and for a fraction of the cost. Our graphics for the shows will look top notch. In addition, our documentaries can be produced far better, and much faster.
– Studio and Office Furniture.
I want to bring news into the home by offering you a different type of look. Lets be honest, the Fox and CNN studios look sharp, and they offer a lot of WOW, but most conversations about news and politics don’t happen at a studio desk equipped with neon lights, flashy signs and high-end graphics. They happen in the living room, and at the kitchen table. Therefore, I wanted our new studio to bring news into the living room.
Yes, the space is filled with hi-def TVs, and we are building a huge video wall, but everything else looks and feels like a home you’d like to live in.
The studio is set in a living room with fireplace that measures 21 feet by 21 feet. It has vaulted ceilings, beautiful french doors and sit-in windows.
The new desk where I will report from:
The Video Wall (consists of 9, 50-inch Smart TVs)
It will look much like this by the time we have it built.
The Sit-in Windows
Some days we will do our reports from inside the windows. It’s my favorite part of the room. Also in view, is the Skype TV and stand we purchased. This is where we will highlight and interview our guests.
The sofas came free of charge, but we didn’t like the color, so we dressed them up with some pillows and throw blankets. More pillows are coming in soon. The rug shown is not staying. It is being replaced by a presidential rug set for delivery this week (seen below). My desk will be positioned in front of the sofas.
Yes, the living room will feel like a warm place, but it was also reflect our love for America and the great respect we hold for the men and women of our military.
The News Room
Our news and editing rooms will be no less equipped than what you’d expect to see at Fox News — only ours is a bit more comfortable.
More monitors and desks are arriving each day. This is just a first glimpse at one of the rooms we’ve equipped with a few desks, chairs, TVs, and news room clocks.
The other day we received an email from a lady in Idaho. She had watched a LIVE test we did inside the house of my Walk & Talk (it was filmed in the room shown above. I was sitting at the white desk).
She snapped a picture of me on her living room TV. Her picture (seen below) reflects my vision for what will soon be reality. Your family and my team will both be in our living rooms. We will deliver the news and information you can trust. And we’ll do it in a real setting that makes you feel like we’re in the room together.
Thank you do much for your donations. We’re still loading up with more essential equipment. If you’d like to donate, please go to DennisMichaelLynch.com/donate
