DML News founder, immigration expert and documentary filmmaker Dennis Michael Lynch shares an important news update from Savannah, Georgia.
DML explained that students who have gone through medical school must get a residency in order to go on to become doctors. “This year, almost 1,200 US students who went to school to become doctors did not get placed in a resident program. The year before, 800 were left out, making a total of 2,000 students who attended medical school but will not go on to become doctors,” he said.
However, during the same time, 4,000 foreign students came over on visas, and were placed in residency programs. Meanwhile, the 2,000 US students who were left out are left with a tremendous college debt.
