Today is August 29 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion. 1-Sarah Palin’s lawsuit against NY Times can go to trial: judge
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s defamation lawsuit against The New York Times will go to a trial, according to a federal judge’s ruling Friday.

There was “sufficient evidence to allow a rational finder of fact to find actual malice by clear and convincing evidence,” Judge Jed S. Rakoff of Federal District Court in Manhattan determined.

The judge set a trial date for Feb. 1. The former GOP vice-presidential candidate sued the Times for libel after a June 2017 editorial about the shooting of GOP U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise and others mentioned a map put out years earlier by SarahPAC that had crosshairs over different Democratic congressional districts. While the map had been used in reference to ObamaCare, the editorial connected it to Jared Loughner’s 2011 shooting of then-U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., whose district was among those identified in the map.

DML: This is a victory for conservatives!  Maybe the media will think twice before printing / publishing / airing their BS.

2-Chadwick Boseman dies of cancer
Best known for his role in film Black Panther, actor Chadwick Boseman died Friday.

Boseman was privately undergoing “countless surgeries and chemotherapy” to battle colon cancer, his family said in a statement announcing his death at age 43 on Friday. He’d been diagnosed at stage 3 in 2016 but never spoke publicly about it.

DML: RIP

3-Rioter attacks cop with lid cover
A video posted to social media on Thursday shows a Black Lives Matter rioter throwing a trash can lid at a police officer’s head, knocking him to the ground.

A Minneapolis police officer was struck in the head with a trashcan lid and knocked to the ground on Wednesday night during instances of “confusion, unrest, looting and damage downtown,” according to a report by Fox 9.

Watch the video

DML: Here is the equally troubling part of the story, which is the “protester” who tossed the lid will likely be arrested and then released without bail.

4-Chelsea Clinton rags on so-called white privilege

Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton said she was teaching her children to “erode” their “white privilege” over time during a national Women for Biden organizing call with Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) Thursday evening.

Clinton said, “You know, 40% of Americans with disabilities report that they have real challenges voting in person. And so in states where there haven’t been, kind of, no-excuse absentee voting or where there hasn’t been the introduction of early voting yet, you know, it still isn’t, kind of, easy, fair or equal for many Americans to vote.”

She continued, “And I think it’s really important that my children understand that. And I think it’s particularly important that they understand that as white children of privilege because I want them to erode that privilege throughout their lives to ensure more people are enfranchised and that equality isn’t just an ideal.”

Here is the video

DML: The good news is she’s the only child of Bill and Hillary.

  1. I thought it found that she wasn’t bill’s daughter……but you are correct that we are so lucky there is only one of them…..

  2. Chelsea could teach her children by example to quickly erode their white privilege by giving what they have to people of color! Do it by actions not words!!!

  3. Hooray for Chelsea! Now she should move her family to a black ghetto slum housing area to prove that she isn’t just talking bulloney white privilege! And do it soon!

  4. Chelsea can start by repaying the money she and her Mom stole from the Haiti earthquake victims fund to pay for her “white privilege” million dollar wedding. Then relinquishing her $900,000 a year salary handed to her straight out of college.

    • You hit the biotch on the head with that one Alyce…I definitely agree with you 100%, I couldn’t listen to her I had to stop the video. Blah, blah, blah.
Too bad she had children they will be so brainwashed with her “white privilege” crappola!!!

  5. WHEN WHITE PRIVILEGE CHELSEA GIVES ALL HER MONEY NOW AND FOREVER TO THE POOR AND CHOOSES TO LIVE WITH HER CHILDREN PENNILESS & HOMELESS (AS DO MANY US CITIZENS) SHE IS JUST ANOTHER HYPOCRITE AND LIAR .. HOW DO YOU SAY “THE APPLE DOESN’T FALL FAR FROM THE TREE CHELSEA”…
GOD HAVE MERCY ON HER SOUL…

  6. What does Chelsea know? I worked the polls for 37 years and we always made sure the older and handicap voters were well taken care of. We always had a handicap booth for them. U shouldn’t give an opinion on things u do not know.

  7. Chelsea Clinton: Why over time??? Why not give her ill gotten millions to the less advantaged RIGHT NOW and start living the life!

  8. Chelsea wants to run for Senate. Do you think America doesn’t know you were running the Clinton Foundation and that you stole all that money from Haiti? Now you want to help steal votes. People have absentee voting. These disability people can do this. It has been successful. This other mail In voting for every person walking in America, including illegals, is corrupt way to vote. Go to the poles. This is your future and important.

  9. Businesses and restaurants in particular all had to retrofit their entrances and bathrooms. Some even had to close shop because of the expense. I find it strange that now, she is saying people with disabilities will have a hard time voting? The polls are set up in churches, businesses, and schools. Plus there is always absentee voting available.
