Today is July 22 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion. And don’t forget to download the free DML App from the Google Play or Apple App Store to remain connected to me throughout the day.
1. China says US orders it to close consulate in Houston, burns documents, threatens retaliation
Click2Houston reports: The U.S. has ordered China to close its consulate in Houston in what a Chinese official called an outrageous and unjustified move that will sabotage relations between the two countries.
Foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin condemned the action, which comes at a time of rising tensions between the world’s two largest economies. He warned of firm countermeasures if the U.S. does not reverse its decision.
The U.S. said in a brief statement that the consulate was ordered closed “to protect American intellectual property and American’s private information.” It did not provide any details.
(Documents being burned in three barrels in the courtyard of the Chinese consulate Tuesday night prompted the Houston fire department to respond, but they were not allowed onto the property.)
DML: Great! Kick them all out now!
2. NYPD Cops With Riot Shields Clear Out City Hall Protesters in Pre-Dawn Raid
NBC New York reports: Nearly a month after protesters started camping out outside New York City Hall to call for defunding of the police department, uniformed officers with riot shields moved in to clear out tents and people early Wednesday in a planned operation.
Lines of officers in heavy gear were seen at Lafayette Street and Leonard near the criminal courthouses. Some were telling protesters and others on the street to move back as the swarm of cops moved in. Officials said those in the encampment were given a ten-minute warning before the clear-out began.
Seven people were arrested during the encampment clearing, which happened some time before 4 a.m., an NYPD spokesperson said. After some clashes with cops, the protesters left shortly after dawn.

Occupy City Hall is no more. Protestors tell me police moved in at about 3:30 am with no warning telling everyone to leave or be arrested. Several garbage trucks moving in @wcbs880 pic.twitter.com/7vRKl3EK38

3. Cincinnati Reds players kneel during national anthem
The Hill reports: Several Cincinnati Reds players knelt during the national anthem on Tuesday night before the team’s exhibition game against the Detroit Tigers.
Joey Votto, Amir Garrett, Phillip Ervin and Alex Blandino all knelt during the song. Several other players, including Mike Moustakas, Cody Reed and Sal Romano, stood next to the kneeling players, putting their hands on their shoulders in support. The Reds tweeted a picture of the scene, commenting “unity” followed by a heart emoji and “#BlackLivesMatter.”

DML: Scumbags don’t get it, there is not unity with the fans now. Dumb asses.
4. Chicago’s Lori Lightfoot tweets against Trump as bullets fly outside funeral home
Fox News reports: Even as Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was accusing President Trump of trying to “terrorize” her city by sending in federal forces to quell skyrocketing crime, bullets were flying Tuesday evening outside a South Side funeral home in a shocking fusillade of gunfire that left at least 15 people wounded.
The victims were fired upon while leaving the funeral home when a black vehicle with multiple occupants drove past around 6:30 p.m. local time, according to police. Sources told the Chicago Sun-Times the funeral was for Donnie Weathersby, 31, who was gunned down last week about a mile and half northeast of the funeral parlor. Police could not yet determine if the shootings were gang-related or if the shooters and victims knew each other.
At least one person has been arrested but police haven’t given a motive or said if the shooter and the victims knew each other, the Chicago Tribune reported.
(Just moments before the shooting occurred, Lightfoot tweeted, “Under no circumstances will I allow Donald Trump’s troops to come to Chicago and terrorize our residents.”)
Under no circumstances will I allow Donald Trump’s troops to come to Chicago and terrorize our residents.

DML: Trump should just clean the streets in all these cities and leave these POS mayors with no voice. Lori Lightfoot? What about we call her Lori Lightbrain. I like that one instead.
5. Big Tech to get BILLIONS for Covid-19 vaccine
Pfizer and BioNTech said they have signed a $1.95 billion agreement with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Defense Department for millions of doses of a Covid-19 vaccine which Americans would receive for free.
DML: And you are wondering why every doctor who claims we do not need face masks and social distancing are trounced by the media. You wonder why the CDC and Fauci treat COVID-19 like it’s some nuclear bomb that can only be taken down with a vaccine that nobody will use. Meanwhile, get ready for the mandates that you have a vaccine shot or else you can’t shop at Walmart, or whatever stores play the game. Trump claimed yesterday that COVID-19 will get worse before it gets better. Sure it will, because the media will make it that way and Trump plays into it with posting pictures of himself wearing a mask and declaring it patriotic. Not me. I say patriotic is standing tall for the rights I am granted under the Constitution. My take is “f*ck the vaccine, f*ck the mask, f*ck the fake reporting.
MY PARTING WORDS: Some people wear masks, others social distance. I would love to have someone show me the iron clad proof of these tactics working to stop disease. But they can’t, so they won’t present us with anything scientifically proven. But God forbid you or someone else offers a solution or response that differs from Big Brother. You get kicked off Facebook, censored by YouTube and shamed on Twitter. I won’t allow social media to dictate my health and wellness. Not me. I am smarter.
For the record, as a general practice I don’t wear the masks, I don’t take vaccines, I will live normal knowing how God built the body. I have all the confidence in the world that my approach to wellness is the best approach. My approach: I boost my immune system, I get great sleep, I walk, and I curb the stress by tamping down the anxiety. I do much of this with my DMLcbd, and I have not been sick in nearly two years.
