1 – Trump attorney Sidney Powell says they are ‘fixing to overturn the results of the election in several states’
Trump attorney Sidney Powell said a member of President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team, Peter Neffenger, is also a member of the board of directors for a company that committed election fraud that could cause the results of the 2020 election to be overturned.

“He is president and on the board of directors of Smartmatic, and it just so happens he’s on Mr. Biden’s presidential transition team that’s going to be nonexistent, because we’re fixing to overturn the results of the election in multiple states,” said Powell during an appearance on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. “President Trump won not just hundreds of thousands of votes but by millions of votes that were shifted by this software that was designed expressly for that purpose.”

Powell said Neffenger had knowledge that the software provided by Smartmatic was designed to rig elections.

“We have sworn witness testimony of why the software was designed, it was designed to rig elections,” Powell said. “He was fully briefed on it, he saw it happen in other countries, it was exported internationally for profit by the people that are behind Smartmatic and Dominion.”

2 – Stacey Abrams announces: More Than 600,000 Georgians Have Already Requested Mail Ballots for Runoff Election
Failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams announced Sunday that “more than 600,000 Georgians have requested their mail ballots” for the Senate runoff elections on January 5, urging her followers to support the Democrat candidates.

“More than 600,000 Georgians have requested their mail ballots for the January 5 runoff elections,” Abrams wrote in a tweet Sunday morning. “Help elect @ReverendWarnock and @ossoff to the U.S. Senate by requesting your ballot today. Happy voting and let’s get it done… again.”

Included in Abrams’s tweet was a link at which Georgia residents can request a mail-in ballot for the runoff elections between Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) and her Democrat challenger Raphael Warnock, and another between Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) and his Democrat opponent Jon Ossoff.

Earlier this month, it was reported that those two Senate races in the Peach State could be some of the most expensive in history. One estimate said the spending could go beyond $200 million.

3 – Ilhan Omar: Biden Won Because the Republican Party ‘Allowed for Chaos to Reign for Four Years’
Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) said Sunday on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” that Joe Biden won the 2020 election because the Republican Party “allowed for chaos to reign for four years” of President Donald Trump’s administration.

Omar said, “When you think about our party, Speaker Pelosi always says we are a big tent, and that means that we are a big family. We all have our own constituencies that we have to serve. We are part of a caucus working on behalf of the people. We think of ourselves as the party of the people. Again like I said, there are economic and social despair being felt by so many Americans. There was a movement that happened this summer, and it delivered this victory, the rise of the amount of people that registered to vote. We owe to the movement to make sure that the chaos that they voted against does not follow us to our caucus. And to make sure that the justice that they seek is implemented in the policies that we advocate for.”

“I know that Biden invited the American people to be a unifying force against darkness. And as a caucus, we have to be unified against that. To think about allowing ourselves to let the Republicans to decide how we are to function as a caucus is really painful because this is, you know, a party that has lied, that has smeared, that has used everything that they can to attack us. It’s a  party that has been against the social and economic justice we have all been fighting for. It is a party that has allowed for chaos to reign for four years. So the American people have decided to put us in charge to say we want something different. We can’t disappoint them,” she added.

4 – Man arrested for throwing fireworks at Trump supporters after MAGA march
Police have arrested a suspect in connection with fireworks that went off at a D.C. restaurant, hitting Trump supporters after Saturday’s “MAGA Million March,” according to reports.

A video of the incident shows a large crowd descending on P.J. Clarke’s restaurant just a few blocks away from the White House. Amid a heated confrontation between a small group of Trump supporters and a hostile crowd, someone sets off fireworks that explode on the patio.

Chaos ensues as parties on both sides scramble to leave the area before police arrive to separate them. Expletives can be heard flying left and right. It wasn’t immediately clear whether anyone on the pro-Trump side was injured by the explosion.

On Sunday, police said they have arrested 26-year-old Javien Michael Dawson in connection with the fireworks, WRC-TV reported. He had been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

It was one of more than 20 arrests that have taken place in response to the violence that ensued hours after tens of thousands of Trump supporters gathered in Washington.

5 – Biden Taps Reparations Advocate for Treasury Transition Team
Free Beacon reports: Mehrsa Baradaran, a professor at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, is helping Biden prepare to “hit the ground running on Day One” as a member of his Department of the Treasury agency review team. Baradaran is an outspoken advocate of reparations for black Americans, both as a means of correcting “white supremacy” and closing the racial wealth gap.

Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) dodged questions about reparations throughout the 2020 cycle. Baradaran took note of their refusal to stake out a firm stance on the issue. “Dear Kamala, Reparations or go home,” she wrote in June 2019. “Biden just dodged that reparations question like a much nimbler and younger man,” she said in December 2019, referencing a Democratic primary debate.

In her 2017 book The Color of Money: Black Banks and the Racial Wealth Gap, Baradaran argues that closing the racial wealth gap requires acknowledging past wrongs and providing compensation for damages. “A reparations program could take many forms from simple cash payments or baby bonds to more complex schemes such as subsidized college tuition, basic income, housing vouchers, or subsidized mortgage credit,” she writes. Baradaran’s book inspired Netflix to donate $100 million to organizations that “support Black communities.”

Before joining Biden’s transition team, Baradaran helped Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), and former South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg on policy proposals to address the racial wealth gap. Biden, who left reparations out of his racial equity plan, said he would study the issue. ”

6 – Federal judge rules Trump’s DHS leader Chad Wolf unlawfully in position, didn’t have authority to suspend DACA
A federal judge ruled Saturday that President Trump’s nominee to head the Department of Homeland Security has been illegally working in his position as acting secretary over the past 12 months.

Judge George Garaufis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York wrote that Wolf’s illegitimate appointment in November 2019 meant a rule he advanced this summer to cripple the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program was invalid.

“Wolf was not lawfully serving as Acting Secretary of Homeland Security under the HSA [Homeland Security Act] when he issued the Wolf Memorandum,” wrote Garaufis, who was appointed by former President Bill Clinton.

The Wolf memo only allowed the hundreds of thousands of DACA recipients, or children who were brought illegally to the United States who meet certain criteria, to renew their protections from deportation and work permits for one year instead of the normal two years. Trump’s former Attorney General Jeff Sessions attempted to rescind the program entirely early on in the administration, though the Supreme Court blocked the move.

7 – Fauci Warns Delay in Transition Could Affect Public Health Amid Coronavirus Surge
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said Sunday that it’s “obvious” it would be better for public health if the presidential transition could move forward as quickly as possible at a time when the number of COVID-19 cases continues to increase. “Of course it would be better if we could start working with them,” Fauci said on CNN. Fauci, who has served under six presidents, said the transition process should be “like passing a baton in a race” so there is no lag time. “You don’t want to stop and then give it to somebody. You want to just essentially keep going, and that’s what transition is,” Fauci said. “So it certainly would make things more smoothly if we could do that.”

Fauci also speculated that it may not be until the second or third quarter of 2021 that Americans might expect to “start approaching a degree of normality.”

“We have to get people to take the vaccine,” Fauci stated. “You have on the one hand an effective vaccine, on the other hand a high degree of uptake of the vaccine. We can start getting things back to relative normal as we start getting into the second or third quarter of next year.”

Fauci stressed that even with a vaccine, the best way to help reduce the effectiveness of the virus is to apply public health policy “uniformly,” although he did not think that the country would be looking at a national lockdown. One of those measures may include a national face mask mandate, though he did not go into specifics.

Fauci only urged that with the holiday season and colder weather ahead, it was not time to ease up on current measures. He appeared to agree with CNN’s Jake Tapper, who said, “Christmas is probably not gonna be possible.”
