Today is September 20 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion. 1-Trump’s Supreme Court court pick likely to be Amy Coney Barrett or Barbara Lagoa: reports
Two names have been emerging from the list of Supreme Court contenders President Trump is said to be considering following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, according to reports.
Judges Amy Coney Barrett in Chicago and Barbara Lagoa in Atlanta are said to top the list.
Trump told a North Carolina rally crowd Saturday night that he intended to nominate a woman to succeed Ginsburg, who died Friday at age 87 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
“It will be a woman — a very talented, very brilliant woman,” Trump said of his potential choice. “I think it should be a woman. I actually like women much more than I like men.”

DML: I like women too, but dang it I want Sen Cruz. I know Cruz declined the offer, and that’s because he thinks he can win the presidency in 2024. He’s wrong. He can shape history on the Supreme Court. Of well. Next time.
2-Mitch McConnell’s Kentucky home targeted in Supreme Court vacancy protest
At least one protester was arrested Saturday after a group of about 100 people gathered outside the Kentucky home of Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell.
The Senate majority leader is a key figure in determining whether a nominee appointed by President Trump will succeed the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court before Election Day.
“Ruth Sent Us,” and “No Ethics No Shame,” read some of the signs carried by crowd members in Louisville, local FOX station WDRB-TV reported.
“Hey-hey, ho-ho, Mitch McConnell has got to go,” others chanted.

3-Nearly 100 protesters arrested at Abolish ICE protests in NYC
Police arrested 86 protesters at tense Abolish ICE demonstrations in Times Square and near NYPD headquarters in Manhattan Saturday, police sources said.
Videos from the scenes show police scuffling with protesters demonstrating against recent reports that Immigration and Customs Enforcement performed unneeded hysterectomies on immigrant women detained at an ICE facility in Georgia.
One protester in Times Square, Isabella Leyva, wrote on Twitter that officers began making arrests as protesters stepped off the sidewalk and into the street.
Video from the scene showed police arresting several demonstrators as they sat in the street.

4-Eric Holder calls for more SCOTUS judges
Saturday, during an appearance on MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation,” former Attorney General Eric Holder told host Al Sharpton if Republicans succeeded in confirming a replacement for Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg appointed by President Donald Trump, a future Democrat Senate majority along with Joe Biden, if he is elected president, should consider “court reform.”
According to Holder, such a measure would mean adding justices to the Supreme Court.
DML: My Facebook LIVE from Saturday evening couldn’t be any more accurate. Here it is in case you missed it. In the event you cannot watch it, short translation: Do not trust the Democrats, they play to win no matter how they do it. Even if it means changes the ground rules.
5-Jane Fonda: ‘We Have to Rise Up and Not Allow’ McConnell, GOP to Replace Ginsburg — ‘Let’s Grow Some Balls and Ovaries’
Friday during HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher announced the news Ruth Bader Ginsburg had passed away, which means an opening on the U.S. Supreme Court just weeks before the November elections.
Among Maher’s guests on Friday was actress and left-wing activist Jane Fonda, who announced she was “reeling” from the news before urging viewers to “rise up” and oppose Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) effort to name Ginsburg’s replacement.
“We have to be as tough as Mitch McConnell and not allow them to do one freakin’ thing until the election is over,” she said. “We have to rise up and not allow them to do it. If Mitch McConnell can do it, let’s grow some balls and ovaries. Oh, my God.”
DML: Fonda, a communist at heart, is the sort of daughter a father wishes he didn’t have.
