Today is December 8 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion. And don’t forget to download the free DML App from the Google Play or Apple App Store to remain connected to me throughout the day.

1 – Texas Sues Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin at Supreme Court over Election Rules
Breitbart reports: The State of Texas filed a lawsuit directly with the U.S. Supreme Court shortly before midnight on Monday challenging the election procedures in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin on the grounds that they violate the Constitution.

Texas argues that these states violated the Electors Clause of the Constitution because they made changes to voting rules and procedures through the courts or through executive actions, but not through the state legislatures. Additionally, Texas argues that there were differences in voting rules and procedures in different counties within the states, violating the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. Finally, Texas argues that there were “voting irregularities” in these states as a result of the above.

Texas is asking the Supreme Court to order the states to allow their legislatures to appoint their electors. Texas approached the Supreme Court directly because Article III provides that it is the court of first impression on subjects where it has original jurisdiction, such as disputes between two or more states.

DML: Go Texas!  Maybe all the red states should join in!

2 – Cruz explains why he agreed to argue Pa. election case if Supreme Court takes it up
Fox News reports: Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, told “Hannity” Monday that he agreed to present oral arguments before the Supreme Court in a key election-related case — should the high court take the matter up — because the matter “raises very serious issues.”

The case brought by Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pa., and Pennsylvania GOP congressional candidate Sean Parnell, alleges that a 2019 state law allowing no-excuse mail-in voting is unconstitutional. If the court agrees, according to KDKA, Kelly and Parnell said most of the commonwealth’s mail-in votes in this past presidential election could be thrown out.

The plaintiffs argue that the state does not have grounds to allow non-absentee vote-by-mail without a constitutional amendment. Nearly 30 Republican members of the state legislature have signed a document in amicus with Kelly and Parnell’s case.

DML: It ain’t over till it’s over!

3 – Minnesota resident’s Christmas light display shamed for ‘harmful impact’ to community in anonymous letter
Fox News reports: An unidentified St. Anthony, Minnesota resident has received an anonymous letter on Monday chastising them for their Christmas light display.

“The idea of twinkling, colorful lights are a reminder of divisions that continue to run through our society, a reminder of systemic biases against our neighbors who don’t celebrate Christmas or who can’t afford to put up lights of their own,” the letter, shared by Crime Watch Minneapolis, reads. “We must do work of educating ourselves about the harmful impact an outward facing display like yours can have.”

The letter then challenges the resident to “respect the dignity of all people, while striving to learn from differences, ideas, and opinions of our neighbors.”

“We must come together collectively and challenge these institutional inequities,” the letter concludes. “St. Anthony is a community welcoming of all people and we must demand better for ourselves.”

DML: Well, we knew this was coming! Write YOUR response to this in the comments section at the bottom of this briefing.  Keep it clean!

4 – Cornell Offers Minority Students Exemption from Mandatory Vaccine
Free Beacon reports: Cornell University offers minority students an exemption from its flu vaccine requirement, citing the United States’ “longstanding systemic racism and health inequities” as justification.

Cornell’s health-requirement guidelines, which were first reported by Campus Reform, mandate that students studying on campus receive a flu vaccination. The university offers an exemption, however, for “students who identify as Black, Indigenous, or as a Person of Color” and have concerns about being required to take the vaccine.

The university cited current and historical systemic racism as an acceptable reason for minority students to seek an exemption.

“It is understandable that the current Compact requirements may feel suspect or even exploitative to some BIPOC members of the Cornell community,” a university outline of the exemption reads. “Additionally, recent acts of violence against Black people by law enforcement may contribute to feelings of distrust or powerlessness.”

DML: You just can’t make this stuff up!  Or should I say, “You can’t fix stupid!”

5 – Goya Foods CEO: We Made AOC ‘Employee of the Month’ After Her Boycott Boosted Sales
Breitbart reports: Goya Foods CEO Bob Unanue said his company named Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) its employee of the month after an increase in sales following the New York Democrat’s call for a boycott of his firm.

“She was actually our employee of the month,” Unanue said on Monday’s edition of the Michael Berry Show. “I don’t know if you know about this, because when she boycotted us our sales actually increased 1000 percent, so we gave her an honorary — we never were able to hand it to her — but she got employee of the month for bringing attention to Goya and our adobo.”

Unanue added, “Actually, our adobo sales did very well after she said make your own adobo. … She’s our hero. She helped boost sales tremendously.”

After Unanue praised President Trump at a White House event last summer, saying the United States was “blessed” to have a leader like President Trump, Ocasio-Cortez joined other Democrats and celebrity leftists in calling for a boycott of Goya products.

DML: EPIC!

6 – Trump to sign coronavirus vaccine executive order prioritizing Americans over foreign nations
Fox News reports: President Trump is expected to sign an executive order Tuesday that will ensure all Americans have access to the coronavirus vaccine before the U.S. government begins aiding nations around the world, Fox News has learned.

Senior administration officials told Fox News Monday that the president will reemphasize to the American people that the “priority has been an America First approach,” during a vaccine summit at the White House Tuesday.

“The priority is to make sure we distribute these vaccines to Americans before we start shipping them around the world to get international access,” an official told Fox News, predicting that international assistance could come “late spring, early summer,” and after they “achieve vaccinating those who have a desire to be vaccinated.”

DML: I’m not taking it, but I totally agree with “America First.”

  1. This is still the United States of America we all have the right to celebrate the Christmas holiday as we see fit on our own property. This country had gone STUPID!

  2. That was my first thought after reading the news of Texas sueing the other states. Every state should join in. A corrupt election in even one state violates the constitutional rights of the other state and in turn every legal voter. Absolutely good news.

  3. That letter just go along with the jerks that tell you not to say merry Christmas what a bunch of BS. I’m the person who would double the lights just to thumb my nose at them.

  4. If I received a letter like that I would decorate 10 fold the amount I already had up.

It would look like Santa came by my house on a strafing run bombing my house with Christmas decorations and lights

  5. I’m so sick of hearing the whimpering cries of inequity. Equality of opportunity does not guarantee equity of outcome. Individuals make different decisions in all aspects of life. Get over it!

  6. I will bet you the Supreme Court will let this corruption passed. All lawsuits will be dismissed. I lost faith in all firm of justice in this country. In other words Biden’s presidency will remains.

    • Don’t think the Supreme Court will be bought except for John Roberts. It will be taken or passed to Congress. Be patient. That’s my opinion.

  7. Typical of the mentally distressed
The people who feel that everyone needs to feel that if they feel a certain way then everyone else needs to or be shamed into it this is very “Obama “ thinking

  8. Thank you Texas and Ted Cruz!!!! Trump and America need you. Ted Cruz will go Down in history for saving Democracy. I hope he eventually runs again for president. He will have my vote.

  9. No vaccine for my family. I’ve read too many bad things about this vaccine. Give mine to some other Guinea pig. Anything Bill Gates has to do with is definitely not trustworthy. As for the Christmas lights I did more, the guy who wrote that letter needs to mind his own business. Merry Christmas everybody.

    • Totally agree with you Sissy. The troubling part for me is that in the pull out section that comes with the vaccine Astra Zeneca states they need to have AI interface set up to catch all of the adverse reactions that will happen because this vaccine was sent to market so fast. I’m a healthcare frontline worker. I have an exemption for not getting the flu vaccine because in 1976 I got very sick after receiving the flu vaccine. I am hoping that the administration of the hospital I work at allows that to stand for this vaccine as well. My son who’s a fire fighter has said that they guys he works with at his station have also said they will refuse to get it as well.

    • Previous years my Christmas light colors were blue and white. This year I added RED lights. and yes, I am still keeping up my TRUMP FLAG, along with my ANGEL, and NATIVITY SCENE. GOD BLESS AMERICA and JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

  10. Wow! If anyone tells me that, I’ll put up the biggest light display you ever saw! When I was a child and my parents couldn’t politely up as many light, we delighted I. Looking at the displays of others! We drove to some of the upscale neighborhoods just to see and enjoy their lights! The moronic Minnesota resident who wants to ban them is full of hate for God and America! He or she should be banned!”Let the light of Christ shine throughout the world”!

  11. My Christmas lights are so bright & so many they probably keep the neighbors awake at night….lol! These i Americans need to load up & go to another country….

  12. Yes if I received a letter concerning the lights I would definitely triple the amount of lights and add musical figures. Also Go Trump!

  13. Great products from Goya. I buy them all the time (can’t find the Tamale Pie anymore, was it discontinued anyone know, it was awesome “comfort food”!).

Merry Christmas everyone! The more lights the better.

  14. Christmas lights represent traditions. I would add more. If you don’t like what our country represents, pack your bags. I’ll help!! God Bless America. 🎄🎄🎄⛄️🇺🇸🇺🇸

  15. Thank God for Texas!!! I think I’ll light up my house this year and enjoy my newly discovered Goya products. Kudos to the “Employee of the Month” (whose name I refuse to mention) for bringing it to my attention…

  16. I live in MN. And I am completely embarrassed!! They have completely lost their minds!! My house is decorated and if I got a letter like that I would seriously go buy more!!

    • Does anybody remember any complaints for all the HALLOWEEN decorations? Hmmm…maybe it’s more about the Reason for the Season…than about lights.

  17. Thank you Texas! It would be nice if the other Red States followed suit, but when you have governors like Mitt Romney that Rino, those states won’t follow, and that is a shame!

I can’t believe the gall of some people about the lights! If it was me my house would become the Griswald house. There would be so many lights on my house!

  18. Regarding Christmas lights, that’s the neighbor’s problem. Is this neighbor going to require everyone take down their lights? If the isn’t happy too bad!
The neighbor has every right to display Christmas Decorations, provided they aren’t socially offensive.

  19. Wow! Where to start.

    1) GO TEXAS! All states should join in ASAP.

    2) No vaccine for me, give mine to someone else.

    3) Thanks Ted Cruz! You rock!!

    4) Give me lights, lots of lights!! The more the merrier!!

    5) Goya I’m so happy your sales soared!

    6) I would never attend a college that mandates flu vaccines. My body, my choice!!

In closing, God Bless America now and always!!

  20. If you can’t put up Christmas lights because it may offend someone that doesn’t celebrate Christmas what next, you can no longer breath if your white because you may offend someone by living! I’m so sick of this crap, what happened to live & let live. We are bending over for the least of us & the hell with the majority. Also making any flu shot mandatory is. Wrong but exempting someone of color is racist. I will not be getting the vaccine & to tie it to a stimulus ck or allow you to be fired from your job if you don’t get it is illegal & should be taken as far as the Supreme Court!

  21. Actually, I am waiting for Cornell minority students to get severe cases of the flu and claim that Cornell made a decision knowing the students might not be protected against the flu. Some might even claim they were denied the vaccine, true or not, or that Cornell made the decision to save money on the cost of the number of vaccines needed. Or, simply that it was racist…that’ll be an easy accusation, true or not.

  22. Regarding the Christmas lights. I will help you add more to your house. It’s funny how they always target anything with Christ in it. We must bend their way, but they don’t bend our way. You can teach someone something new if they are receptive to it, but don’t close the door just because you don’t like it. Ridiculous people. As Mister Spock said, “Whoever said the human race was logical”

  23. The homeowner should “Griswold” and put up MORe lights & all the neighbors who put up lights to follow suit. Take up the offer of the guy with the light co.! Praise the Muslim who is not offended and supports the homeowner. I agree with Sissy about the Vaccine. Give it to someone else who wants/needs it. GO SEN CRUZ! More republican senators should join him. Grow a set. Solidarity. God Bless Cruz, God Bless all the voters for the Prez, & God Bless America. Fraud or “irregularities” must be investigated and prosecute the felonies of all who perpetrated this fraud starting with Pelosi. Treason = GITMO = Capital Punishment for all involved in this unconstitutional & Treasonous scheme.

  24. Wow just wow! Texas rocks! Proud to be a Texan living in Florida now!
Ted Cruz is fighting for our Constitution and country!
I’m sure if people who couldn’t afford to decorate and wanted help, others would because that’s what American patriots and people who love Christmas do! Spreading joy.
Love Goya and have used their products for years and continue to do so! Employee of the month 😂
Keep praying for our President and that justice in Supreme Court will prevail!
God Bless America and President Trump

  25. Do multicolored Christmas lights really anger some folks? Really? Would they prefer all white lights? Multicolored lights mimic the diversity of all things. To latch on to an irrational notion they represent something unpleasant or evil hints of a psychotic break with reality. However, that would be the foundation driving the entire Leftist break with reality.

  26. I live in the socialist state of Washington and this year I’ve heard more people say Merry Christmas than I have in the last 5+ years. I believe that the lefts attacking everything has made more and more people take a stand, even in a small way.

  27. Way to go Texas and Ted Cruz!! Every red state needs to join in!! Congrats Goya!! Everyone needs to read the box that the vaccines come in as it shows cloning stuff in it and has lung stuff from aborted baby boys and speaks of CHAD org that is of one world order. You can search all this and read for yourselves. No vaccine for me.

  28. Since my android phone removed Thanksgiving and Christmas from the calendar app I guess I am not surprised that there is an attempt to erase these holidays. Cheer up, Easter is still on the calendar.

  29. If you don’t like Christmas lights then you can go back to your own country. Now a days everyone is offended by everything. This is AMERICA let’s keep it FREE.

  30. Federal Supreme Court won’t touch these suits with a 10ft. pole! They’ll return to state level. Then the election is over! Sad. We’re stolen from, spat on, burned down and probably some of of will go to “political jail”!

  31. We go through the work of decorating the house to give joy to the kids anyone driving by. It’s a lot of work but a labor of love. If people can’t admire the display and realize they get the joy and beauty without the work and expense then they are truly “glass half empty” people. Some truly find a way to ruin a free lunch. 🙃

  32. Screw all you dumbasses out there.if you have a problem with Christmas leave. This is America land of the Free.Do these morons think we’re gonna stop celebrating Christmas just because it offends them. I celebrate Christmas. If that offends someone I don’t care.
