Today is October 13 and I am Dennis Michael Lynch. Below are my opinions on the stories grabbing headlines this morning. I hope you share this briefing as doing so will make you the smartest person in the room, in my opinion. 1 – Barrett, Senate prepare for grueling second day of Supreme Court confirmation hearing
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., ended the first day of Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing with a warning of the tough road that lies ahead.

Monday’s portion of the hearing ended before 3 p.m. local time as it consisted of the committee members and Barrett delivering their opening remarks without engaging in any back and forth. That changes Tuesday, which kicks off a lengthy questioning process.

Beginning at roughly 9 a.m. Eastern Time, each senator will take their turns grilling Barrett over issues that will likely be related to her background, past judicial decisions, overall judicial philosophy, hot-button legal issues such as abortion or health care, or the man who nominated her, President Trump.

DML: Here we go… get ready for the fireworks.

2 – Rep. Omar says Republicans ‘would lose their minds’ if a Muslim woman was nominated to SCOTUS
Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., took to Twitter on Monday to criticize “pearl-clutching” Republicans upset about the treatment Amy Coney Barrett has received from Democrats over her Catholic faith after her nomination for Supreme Court.

Omar imagined the reaction from Republicans “if a Muslim woman was nominated to SCOTUS.”

Some Republicans have defended Barrett and point to her treatment during her 2017 confirmation for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, told her at the time, “The dogma lives loudly within you.”

DML: You better get ready for this if Biden wins.

3 – Former NFL star hits back at celebrities claiming African Americans are ‘oppressed’
Former NFL running back Herschel Walker on Monday blasted celebrities who claim African Americans are “oppressed,” pointing to his own story as a “poor Black kid from South Georgia” who went on to represent his country in the 1992 Olympics.

Walker, 58, made the comments on a Twitter post in which he wrote that people are “BLESSED” to be living in the United States.

Walker, two-time Pro Bowl selection in the NFL, said it was an honor for him to represent the U.S. while competing in the Olympics in 1992.

DML: Too bad all the people who really need to see this probably won’t.

4 – Promoter for Portland’s ‘Day of Rage’ wants to ‘abolish colonial systems’
The Twitter handle Generational Resistance, which promoted Sunday night’s “Day of Rage” in Portland that resulted in the toppling of two statues and damage to several buildings, said its ultimate goal is to “decolonize society by working to abolish colonial systems rooted in racism,” a report said.

The Oregonian newspaper wrote a lengthy article about the group that started mentioning the protest a day earlier. The paper said the city is having difficulty getting a grip on protesters because social media allows them to organize quickly and coordinate. The report said one of the instructions on Sunday was that videos and photos were not allowed.

The group responded to a question from the Oregonian, saying, “We stand to decolonize ourselves and decolonize society by working to abolish colonial systems rooted in racism and build community rooted in liberation.”

After toppling the statues, the crowd smashed windows at the Oregon Historical Society and later moved onto the Portland State University Campus Public Safety office.

President Trump said at his rally in Florida, “I have directed the FBI to immediately investigate the destruction of the Lincoln & Teddy Roosevelt statues in Portland, and to prosecute the offenders to the fullest extent of federal law.”

DML: President Trump, go after them!

5 – Dr. Fauci slams Trump for holding rallies
Anthony Fauci, the nation’s infectious disease expert, on Monday warned that President Trump’s campaign rallies, where social distancing and mask-wearing aren’t required, are “asking for trouble” as COVID-19 cases continue to rise.

Asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper if he is worried about the public health consequences of Trump’s rallies, Fauci replied, “We know that is asking for trouble when you do that. We’ve seen that when you have situations of congregate settings where there are a lot of people without masks, the data speak for themselves.”

“And now is even more so a worse time to do that,” he added, pointing to an increase in the percentage of tests coming back positive across the country.

DML: Hey, Fauci, you’re the one who took your mask off at a baseball game!

DML PARTING WORDS: I repeat: I would love to hear Dr Fauci explain why it is that I have not been sick in two years. This time coincides perfectly with when I started using DML CBD. I would also love to hear why none of his reports ever include the studies on CBD and COVID? There are a number of studies being conducted in the US and around the world that show positive results when using CBD to combat the inflammation that happens in some COVID patients. For some reason, Fauci never mentions them. I am guessing here, but maybe big pharma doesn’t like the studies? I would love to get an answer from Fauci, the so-called “nation’s leading expert.” As I wait for his answers, I’ll be taking my DML CBD every day, throughout the day. And by the way, we have DML CBD Gummy Chews in stock. Here is the link: DMLcbd.com.

  1. I don’t think we will see a Muslim Woman as SCOTUS in America, there aren’t enough Americans that would embrace Sharia Law in this Country. There are only small districts in Minnesota and Michigan that put Talib and Omar in the House. They have been a disgrace to our Country!

  2. Fauci has lost credibility with the American people. Just the fact that CNN is having him on their show should tell you something right there. Fauci is a tool for the left!

  3. Darn right we would lose our minds if a Muslim woman was nominated to the Supreme Court!! Omar finally got something right!!
