My dislike of Facebook grows deeper by the minute, as I continue to be blocked from my account while the world around us changes.

Earlier this afternoon, my daughter and I went for a walk.  She said, “How about I host the Walk & Talk?”  I agreed — she’s an admin on my page — she’s not in Facebook jail, no crime committed.

She launched the Walk & Talk from her phone and spoke to the DML viewers for a few seconds.  She then handed the phone over to me while I was playing in the leaves.  See screen shots below.

The episode lasted for only a few minutes, unfortunately.  And no, the video cannot be found on our page.   No, we do not have a copy.

It’s really sad that I am blocked from my account because today would have been an epic program.  Here is why….

If you’ve been following my Walk & Talk program for the past year,  then you have seen me stop at an empty lot that is surrounded by big beautiful trees.  During the summer, all the trees have beautiful leaves but one — in the middle of the lot stood a single tree with no leaves.

No matter what conversation I was having at the time — no matter what topic was being covered — I would stop walking when I arrived at the Obama tree.  I would often explain why I call it the Obama tree: “This tree has no leaves because Obama took the leaves away and gave them to trees that he feels are entitled to their fair share.”

The Obama tree was a really important part of my Walk & Talk.

Today, while walking with my daughter, I realized the tree was removed.  There is no more Obama tree.  I feel like a part of me is missing!   I wish I could have shared this moment with you!  But I could not, because Facebook is liberal, and they love Obama.

For the remainder of my walk, I found myself deeply depressed about the Obama tree being taken from me.

It got worse.

When I got home, Mary showed me the article about the Muslim basketball player in Kansas who disrespected the national anthem.   That story put me over the edge, and I was about to cry when out of nowhere Mary said, “I have something great to show you.”

She then revealed an incredible gift we received from DML News supporter, Jane Samuelson Kraus.

My frown turns upside down as Mary hands me the small greeting card that reads, “DML & Family — Many thanks for all you do.  You are a blessing.”   — Jane Samuelson Kraus.

Then Mary leads me over to a huge white box filled with Omaha steaks and lobster tails.  I am totally blown away by the gift, as is Mary.

It gets better!

Then Mary shows me the extra gift Jane tossed in with the steaks…. STEAK KNIVES.

How did Jane know we needed steak knives?

Here is how our steak knife holder set looked prior to Jane’s gift:

Jane, I thank you so much, as does Mary and our family.  You did not have to send us such a lovely and generous gift!

Jane, I hope you don’t mind if I invite Mark Zuckerberg to share the steaks with me.  Do you think he’ll accept the invite?

Meanwhile, for those of you upset about not seeing the very short Walk & Talk that my daughter held this afternoon, DML News supporter Jennifer captured a few screen shoots.

FROM JENNIFER
AHHAHAHAHAHA! THAT WAS GREAT!  YOU MADE MY DAY! You have no idea how many people probably had goosebumps waiting for FB LIVE to open when you gave us the heads up.  So glad you are spending time with your daughter.  Have a great weekend! Jennifer E.
