Below is a very important report which I ask you to please share on your social media accounts.
PBS has produced a must see documentary about Facebook and the position it holds in the world. You can watch it by clicking here.
The information about the documentary was sent to me by Christina, a DMLNews reader who thought I would find it interesting. She was correct.
The PBS program offers a look back at how and why the company started, but more importantly it dives into how they know so much about you, what you do, who you like and don’t like, and how they give your information out to the world. Your privacy is no longer yours.
As many of the DML News readers know, I have become more frustrated with Facebook, it’s crackdown on conservative voices, and it’s carefree, careless, money-driven behavior when it comes to sharing our privacy with third-parties without our consent.
Watching the documentary only confirmed my concerns and my next moves. Watching the PBS scene where Zuckerberg is sweating like a pig while answering questions issued by a reporter about privacy, left me worried about those people who aren’t taking better measures to protect themselves.
You have to watch the film to measure your own concerns, but the “Facebook way” has grown old. This is why I am moving to a subscription model where there will be no more ads to sift through. In addition to the ads-free experience, we are creating a social network environment where you can create a profile and communicate with like-minded people without the fear of ME taking control of your voice, your data, or your private information. The new program will offer groups, profiles, real time commenting, my shows, other new shows yet to be announced, free films to watch, podcasts, and so much more.
I won’t try to slam you with ads, nor will we be targeting you based on your clicks and likes. I urge you to watch the documentary, and I super urge you to sign up for our subscription service. It is very affordable. Please sign up now and help us grow a place where you can be yourself without having to worrying about me selling your information. You can learn more by clicking here.
