DML: I Respond to 3 Interesting Emails You Sent Me

Each day I receive a lot of messages from DML readers. Today, I respond to three of them.

FROM NANCY
Your poll this morning gives an alarming look at the Trump supporter’s mindset. I did not vote for Trump, I couldn’t get myself to vote for him because his history of lies, cheating and womanizing was too much for me to overlook. I think we’re seeing the real Trump in these tweets. I did not vote for Hillary either. It’s the first time I did not vote for a president in my life.

I come to you for unbiased news, and I am sure you pay a heavy price with the 50% of people who took your poll this morning and find there to be no problem with his tweets. This is the president of our country, acting like a complete ass. The Trump supporters are in for a bucket of ice water on their faces in 2020. They won’t have a wall, they won’t have healthcare that makes sense, they won’t have a tax break, and they’ll have Elizabeth Warren as president simply because Trump is out of control.

DML:  When it comes to the Trump administration being able to make America great again, major legislation is key.  So, in my mind I put a July 1 deadline in place months ago for the first major legislation to be signed.  If no major bills were signed by then, my concerns would be big.

I’ve stretched the deadline to Sept. 1 after hearing the GOP leaders say they’d possibly skip the summer recess. If they skip the recess and work with Trump to get a good healthcare bill passed, then I will see the future as bright because it shows they truly want to work with him.   If they do not, my hopes will fade because I understand how this all works.

What many of my readers fail to understand is that every time Trump sends out a questionable tweet, he forces a member of congress to move with caution.  If you look at our poll it shows roughly 50% of people support the tweets from Sunday.  It’s the other 50% the GOP lawmakers have to deal with in their districts.  In politics, 50/50 is a tough number to bank your future on, and so they play scared not knowing if they should support him or not.  Thus, for those people who can never understand why I used to get so upset over the tweets, now they know.

FROM SUE
There has been no Walk & Talk for days.  What gives?  I miss my DML fix.

DML: I’m not feeling well.  Yesterday, I spent the majority of it in bed.  Sorry.  Honestly, I don’t know when they will resume.  Maybe towards the end of the week.

FROM LESTER
I saw the videos you posted last night of the protesters in 45 states demanding Trump be impeached.  I am no fan of the president’s tweets, but I will say it takes all the lights away from the protests.  I didn’t hear a single thing on the news about the marchers until you posted the information.  Thanks for being on top of the news cycle DML.  You’re the best in the biz.

DML: People can see the protests by clicking here.  Thanks Lester.
